1. eminent [emɪnənt]

adj. 杰出的；有名的；明显的

He is an eminent scientist. 他是一位卓越的科学家。

2. emit [ɪmɪt]

vt. 发出，放射；发行；发表

The new device emits a powerful circular column of light. 这个新装置发出一束强烈的环形光柱。

3. emphasis [emfəsɪs]

n. 重点；强调；加强语气

Too much emphasis is placed on research.  把重点过多地放在研究上。

4. enclosure [ɪnkləʊʒə]

n. 附件；围墙；围场

This enclosure was so vast that the outermost wall could hardly be seen. 这块圈地大得几乎看不见它最外面的围墙。
